Monitoring of the Sanitary Environment Zone
UAB ,,Krovinių Terminalas‘‘ constantly monitors for possible environmental contamination. This monitoring is carried out on a monthly basis by measuring volatile organic compounds (VOC) values at four monitoring points:
A – Molo str.,
B – at the intersection of Švyturio and Pušyno streets,
C – at the Klaipėda Central Sports Stadium,
D – “berth zero”, 7 Vėtros Street.
Environmental Aspects
In accordance with the requirements of LST EN ISO 14001:2015, UAB ,,Krovinių terminalas“ carried out an environmental analysis.
The environmental aspects of the company have been identified and the most significant ones have been selected.
UAB ,,Krovinių terminalas“ has identified the following aspects:
- Air emissions: storage tanks, boiler houses, mechanical workshops, fire pumping station
- Wastewater from domestic and rainwater sources
- Groundwater
- Waste
- Hazardous waste
- Water use
- Electricity use
- Use of natural gas
- Odour
- Incidents
